Marinade is a staking platform on Solana that lets you earn rewards by delegating your SOL to a decentralized set of validators. You can choose between native staking (keep custody of your SOL and earn rewards directly) or liquid staking (receive mSOL, a liquid token that earns rewards and can be used in DeFi).

Native staking with Marinade lets you stake SOL directly through Marinade's validator strategy without using smart contracts or receiving a token. Your SOL stays in your wallet and earns rewards every epoch (2–3 days). It's ideal if you prefer full control and want to avoid smart contract exposure. Choose between Marinade Max Yield — delegating stake across top validators for the best yield and decentralization — or Marinade Select, a curated set of KYB-verified validators for added transparency and reliability.

Liquid staking lets you stake your SOL and receive mSOL, the first liquid staking token on Solana. mSOL represents your staked SOL and automatically increases in value as staking rewards accrue. You can use mSOL in DeFi apps, trade it, or swap it back to SOL anytime — all while continuing to earn rewards in the background.

Native staking adds more SOL to your account every epoch (2–3 days). With mSOL, rewards accrue over time and increase the token's value, so the longer you hold it, the more SOL you receive when you unstake.

Yes. With Marinade, you can get liquidity instantly — even if your SOL is staked with any validator. Both liquid staking and native staking users can use Marinade's instant unstake feature to withdraw SOL right away, without waiting for the usual cooldown period.

Connect the wallet you staked with, open the Rewards tab, click Request data, enter your email if you want a notification, and wait for the report to generate (usually within 24 hours). Once it's ready, reconnect your wallet and download your report.
